Ridgefield, Washington Farmers Market

Valet Lunch Service at the Ridgefield Farmers Market

OK, so we haven't been able to secure a food cart for the market, but no worries. Ridgefield has several fine dining establishments, just minutes away from Davis Park, and we’ve decided to take advantage.

We’ll have the to-go menus of both Pioneer St. Cafe and Vinnie’s Pizza, and any time between 11:30 and 1 pm, if yer feeling peckish, you can order lunch, and our specially trained valet lunch guy (can you say Sawyer), will run and pick it up for you. We’ll even call in the order for you. Service charge will be $1 for Pioneer St. Café, and 50 cents for Vinnie’s. You’ll never have to leave the market again.

We're also getting a couple new craft vendors this week, which is great, because we need a strong showing after last week. Yikes. Five hours of a steady rain, from drizzle to downpour. I want to thank the twelve hearty vendors who toughed it out, and especially our loyal customers who braved the weather to join us. Let's hope for better weather this week.

The winner of last week’s give-away, a pair of man hand-warmers from our ace Info Booth operator, Dolores Dougherty, and a bottle of locally produced Syrah, was Susan Murken,. This week's giveaway will be a selection of produce from Maryhill Orchards (I hope they still have asparagus).

A local soccer team will continue raffling off 15 items valued at $4,000 for the next two weeks. There are some fabulous offerings.

Pioneer St. Cafe every Saturday prepares a Farmers Market Lunch Special culled from our fresh goodies. Last week it was a BLT. We'll post this week's special at our Info table. Pioneer St. Cafe is only a 2 minute walk from the market.

The Ridgefield Farmers Market runs every Saturday, 9 am – 2 pm, at Davis Park in downtown Ridgefield.
